PJO Jazz Jump Start is designed for students entering grades 4-7. The week is structured to provide all students with instrumental instruction, jazz theory, and jazz history. All students will be part of our PJO Jazz Jump Start ensemble and will be introduced to jazz theory and performing jazz. The students will rehearse and prepare music for the final performance at the end of the week.

8:30am - Welcome/Warm-up
8:45am - Full Band Rehearsal
9:30am - Break
9:45am - Jazz Theory
10:15am - Jazz History
10:45pm - Break
11:00am - Full Band Rehearsal
12:00pm - End Of Day/Dismissal

We know sometimes things happen, so here's the plan!
Cancel prior to 2 weeks before 1st day of PJO JAZZ JUMP START - 100% refund
Cancel within 2 weeks of 1st day of PJO JAZZ JAZZ JUMP START - $100 cancellation fee, balance to be refunded.
Cancel after PJO JAZZ JUMP START begins/during PJO JAZZ WEEK - No refund

The 2025 PJO Jazz Week Session #1 will be held at the Princeton Charter School from Sunday, June 29 through Thursday, July 3 from 9:00am to 4:00pm each day. The program will culminate with a performance on July 3 at 7:00pm along with the Philadelphia Jazz Orchestra. Please note our cancellation policy listed above!
